UPCOMING PROJECTS
CAREfest
Thank you all for making this such a huge success! The Refuge was able to partner with many local churches and feed the homeless. We met some amazing people who need our help and made contacts with those we can work with to meet these needs. We will continue to work with the homeless of Snohomish county this summer. Below is a video of some of the highlights from CAREfest projects (not just ours).
July 16 – 19
Snohomish Kla Ha Ya Days. The Refuge will be helping pick up trash and any other task that no one else will volunteer to do.
July 22 – 25
Creation Festival 09! This isn’t really a service project as much as an opportunity to grow friendships, build relationships, and worship the Lord while enjoying concerts from the best Christian bands (including Casting Crowns, Reliant K, Chris Tomlin, Skillet, Red, David Crowder, Kutless, and many more). We are putting together a group to go this year. If you are interested in going leave a comment on this page and we’ll contact you. If you want to find out more about Creation, click here.
July 24 – 26
We have volunteered to help pick up trash at Lake Stevens Aquafest. This is a massive and dirty job so we will need a lot of help. It isn’t a very fun or desirable job, but it is one that is needed and no one else will do it. It is a great reminder of the fact that Jesus cleans out the trash in each of our lives!
On Going Help
Weare partnered with Millennia Ministries which opperates 4 houses for women and children escapping abusive situations. They need tons of yard work and maitenance. There are always needs to fill here.
“In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven.”
~ Matthew 5:16
“If you see some brother or sister in need and have the means to do something about it but turn a cold shoulder and do nothing, what happens to God’s love? It disappears. And you made it disappear.”
~ 1 John 3:17 (The Message)
