1. Welcome to The Refuge!

What is The Refuge?  Well, the Refuge is a person. . . Jesus Christ.  Jesus is our refuge because He is the one who gives us guidance to navigate the treacherous seas and storms of life.  He is the one who protects us from the evil in this world, and we take shelter in Him.  He is a solid, immovable, unchangeable, strong tower that is eternal.  He is the same yesterday, today, and forever.  He is the single light in the darkness of this world calling all people to Himself.  In His light is love, hope, and peace in a world surrounded by hopelessness and turmoil.  He came into the world to bring salvation and forgiveness to all who see His light and will follow it.

It is our mission at The Refuge to point everyone to Jesus Christ. . . the light of the world (John 1:9).  We are a growing group of young adults that meet regularly to eat and socialize, live life together, study God’s word, and meet needs in the Snohomish County.  At The Refuge, we know we are no better than anyone else and we desire to show Christ’s amazing love to everyone.

If you would like to know more about The Refuge (who we are, what we believe, and what we do) click on “About The Refuge“.  If you know of a need in the community that we can help with, please leave a comment on the “Service Calendar” page.

God is [our refuge], a safe place to hide,
ready to help when we need him.
We stand fearless at the cliff-edge of doom,
courageous in seastorm and earthquake,
Before the rush and roar of oceans,
the tremors that shift mountains.”
~ Psalm 46:1-3 (The Message)
